Did you Break your New Years Resolutions yet?

Typically the third Monday in January is known as Blue Monday. By this point many people have become depressed due to the weather, the amount of time that has passed since the Holiday Season, and realizing they just can not stick to their New Year’s Resolutions.

In hopes of my readers not falling into the Blue Monday trap I have waited to discuss my New Year’s Resolutions until now so that I can re-inspire you!

My New Year’s Resolutions are never quick fixes, but instead, year-long ways of life that I would like to take on in 2018.

#1: Fitness and Health: I will continue to strive towards my fitness and health goals in 2018. Not only do I have a goal this year to help support this resolution but it will provide an overall improvement in my life. I have added Kayla Itsiness’ Bikini Body Guide to my regular fitness routine.

#2: Creating a Successful Blog: Over the last six months I have had an ever-growing interest in the Blogging community, and I thought “why not give it a try”, so for the next year I have committed myself to growing my brand and seeing if I can be successful in this life-changing experience!

#3: Read 24 books: My goal this year is to read 2 books each month, for a total of 24 books, my plan is to have a book club section on the blog, where I make recommendations, and provide reactions and questions about each of the books I choose in 2018. I personally enjoy using Goodreads to help me keep track of all the books I read.

#4: Meditation: I have always been very interested in the mind over matter approach, and every year I say I am going to make meditation apart of my daily lifestyle, and then I end up never fully committing to this goal. Therefore I continue to put it on my list every single year in hopes of one year following through with the commitment.

#5: Continue Learning Spanish: Last year I started using an app with my phone called Duolingo. I really enjoyed using this app to help me learn a second language, but again this is another resolution I continue to put on my list because I make it about half the year and life happens and I never follow through.

Hopefully this year, I can look back on my post and see the resolutions I set out for myself! I highly everyone to think about your New Year’s Resolution especially on Blue Monday. Write your New Year’s Resolutions down and put them in a visible spot where you can refer to them every single day. If you have already begun to walk away from your resolution it is not too late to pick it back up again! It is only the third week of the New Year you have so much time to make a positive impact on your life!

  1. This is helpful. While I was reading it, I was thinking of my resolutions! LOL I still have yet to print out my planner so from there I already failed. But I still have the same resolutions as you like blogging and fitness and health. I wish you the best and I’ll probably be reading along with your updates.
